We have grown (again)!

We’re delighted to welcome our newest team members, Emma Tod and Victoria Anderson – both Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapists.

Victoria qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1995 and has specialised in paediatrics for the past 14 years.  She has worked with children with a wide variety of conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Developmental Delay, Autism and Developmental Coordination Disorder.

During her time in paediatrics, the impact which sensory processing has on a child’s development and on their abilities to fully engage in the world around them has become increasingly apparent to Victoria.  If a child is not processing sensory information effectively, this can impact on emotional, physical, social and educational development.

Victoria believes that by providing children who have sensory processing difficulties with the correct sensory input, putting sensory strategies in place and by educating them and their carers about sensory processing, a child’s quality of life can be improved dramatically.  It is this passion which has led Victoria to seek post-graduate training and qualifications in Sensory Integration.  Victoria will be heading-up our growing Sensory Integration service; offering treatment and training.

Victoria’s CV is available to download on our ‘Team’ page.

Emma qualified in 2000 and has many years’ experience in working with children and their families.  She works collaboratively with other professionals, so as to provide the best service.  She has a wealth of experience in assessing, recommending and providing ongoing therapy, treatment and advice.  Emma works holistically and ethically so as to meet the needs of the children and families she works with.  Emma continues to develop her skills as a clinician and attends courses to update her practice.
