This course is primarily for people that are working in the health and social care sector and are involved with Moving and handling.
Learning outcomes:
The course follows best practice guidelines in accordance with both HSE legislation and CQC regulations.
Poor moving and handling practice can lead to:
- back pain and musculoskeletal disorders, which can lead to inability to work
- moving and handling accidents – which can injure both the person being moved and the employee
- discomfort and a lack of dignity for the person being moved

By law, food safety must be managed using a documented Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point based approach as such food handlers must be appropriately trained in food safety.
Learning Outcomes
Food poisoning is common and usually mild but sometimes it can be fatal especially for the elderly or sick the course is designed to ensure you are aware of the basics.
The ultimate aim is to ensure food safety; to ensure health care personnel is able to demonstrate all reasonable precautions are exercised, and due diligence is applied to ensure that food is safe and wholesome.
