This Monday saw the on boarding and training of 5 new support workers to the team.
With an introduction and training session taking place at the company’s head office in Bury, it was nothing short of seamless planning and organising from the administration staff that the event was expertly timed to take place at the same time as the Macmillan cake bake.
The team wanted to extend the cake bake event to all staff but in a bid to minimise the spread of Covid 19 the event was not as originally planned but with new staff to impress, the training day was like no other as the sweet smell of fresh baking filled the building.
Attending on the day was Andrea Hornby, Senior Support Worker “I’m so pleased to be part of such a supportive team from the management to the therapists the culture here is amazing. I already feel like a valued member of the team and can’t wait to meet everyone”.
Jennifer Laptew Marketing Executive who helped to organise the event said “It is such an exciting time to be joining the company, we are growing so fast and have doubled our staff numbers since this time last year. We feel that by getting the right people in the right roles at the start will support our journey. We want staff to feel valued and share our vision and our success. I’d like to extend a warm welcome all the new starters and hope that they have a happy and successful career here at Support for Independence”.
