On Saturday 20th of March 2022, Sheina Jaffe Occupational Therapist Technical Instructor took one big brave step, jumping from a plane, to raise funds for charity. Sheina’s skydive was organised to raise funds for the Aliya Youth Project. The youth project is a new charity set up during the pandemic and is run by Sheina’s husband Rabbi Mendel Jaffe.
The charity caters for teenagers and young adults in the community and provides a safe space. Volunteers run events, residential weekends and activities both in their centre and off-site. The charity also provides young people with access to professional mental health support, guidance with further education and getting into paid employment. Staff and volunteers work 24/7 to provide vital support.
Sheina thanked all the team at rehabilitation and Support for Independence
“Thank you so much for all your support your donation will help secure the charity’s future. It will enable us to provide much-needed services to those within the community who need it the most, as well as give them opportunities to mix with their peers in a safe and inclusive environment”.
