We are delighted to announce that Jac Mckenna is joining our innovative and dynamic occupational therapy team.
As an experienced occupational therapist Jac specialises in psychological health. Jac will be supporting clients in their rehabilitation journey, providing individual occupational therapy goals, interventions, and pathways.
Jac who has been actively practising occupational therapy since she qualified in 1985, is recognised as a leader in her field, demonstrating advanced skills and knowledge. Jac is experienced in assessing complex cases and has previous experience of working in acute and community mental health, community psychotherapy, forensic psychiatry and medium secure rehabilitation programmes and supported living for individuals recovering from mental health issues.
Jac is a passionate occupational therapist who can effectively manage complex cases focussed on psychological disruption or dysfunction. The engagement and our clients in their individualised therapy is paramount and her specialist communication skills will ensure client’s, their families and carers are facilitated to develop a collaborative relationship which supports efficacious assessment and intervention.
Jac is proficient in the management of clinically sensitive information and can work autonomously within multi-disciplinary teams and structures.
Rehabilitation for Independence who have been collaborating with client’s with acquired brain injury (ABI) for 10 years have developed this innovative new service to support our ABI clients on their rehabilitation journey.
