Celebrating 9 years of helping individuals regain independence 2012-2021
In 2012 I started my business, Rehabilitation for Independence, with nothing but a pen, paper, and a passion for helping others. This idea was a vision that I had walking along a sunny afternoon beach walk in Byron Bay Australia. In the coming months from February to August, this vision was brought to life with the support of my family and friends. The company name was a collective decision over a lovely meal with dear friends.
9 years on from that day, I remember it like yesterday, Britain hosted the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games to widespread international acclaim, I left my job at A Chance for Life and began working from my house, totally self-funded with my drive and motivation pushing me.
Back then it was just me and Lucy shortly joined by Steph, over the years we have experienced quite a few unexpected encounters, all of which have impacted the development of Rehabilitation for Independence and helped the company become what it is today.
My core belief is quality of service is crucial, always be respectful, honest, get to know your employees, your clients and continuously work closely to bring out the best in them.
This is something I am proud to say has helped develop the business, in 9 years we have developed a close-knit team that provide clients with a dynamic and holistic approach to their therapy services. Our customer base has risen from 2 to 250. Our sister company, Support for Independence was formed in 2018 and together, we employ over 60 specialists, all of whom are amazing at what they do.
Thank you to our amazing team, our dedicated clients and all who have helped Rehabilitation for Independence get to where we are so far…
. . . Here is to the next 9 years and the big celebration next year!
